Fast, Reliable and Affordable Hosting for Your Website
If you already know about or have heard of WPX Hosting before, jump right over to WPX Hosting to check them out.
WPX Hosting Review: I have been building websites since 2005. I've built somewhere close to 100 sites either for myself or various clients along the way. The creative and business aspects of building websites appealed to me since day one.
Note: I generally don't build websites for commercial clients but on occasion, I have been roped in (and paid well) to do so...
There are generally three things you need to source when building a website and they are:
Domain names are the URLs or web addresses for your website (e.g. www.mysite.com). Templates are the "look and feel" for the site (we recommend Thrive Themes for this). The hosting is where everything is kept safe and sound.
This is what you can expect from WPX Hosting:
If you are building a website, you need hosting. Hosting will either come with an all-in-one solution such as Wealthy Affiliate or you will need to buy it separately.
Basically, hosting is the storage area where all the guts and workings of your website is held:
When anybody is looking at your website online via a computer, smartphone or tablet etc, it is presented to them via your web host. This makes choosing a web host critical.
The faster your website is presented and the quicker it loads, the better the experience for that visitor. If a website loads slowly, not only do you risk that person leaving but the search engines hate slow websites.
Think about it. Search engines are businesses too. It is in their best business interests to offer websites to "searchers" that are:
If a search engine such as Google or Bing presents anything other than this in their search results, they themselves run the risk of losing that visitor.
Google always strive to present only the best websites at the top of their results and hosting plays a huge part in this.
Types of Hosting
Choosing a host for your website can be confusing. After all, with most companies you are presented with a multitude of options at a vast range of prices. These can vary from a few Dollars per month up to around $500 per month.
Obviously the latter is for the big companies and corporations with large, complex websites that receive millions of visitors. They need a host that can accommodate large amounts of traffic and massive interactivity.
Complete overkill for most people.
The types of hosting on offer from most companies include (prices taken from a competitor):
As a beginner or even intermediate website builder, it is hard to know which way to go.
Cut to the Chase
Ok, I am not going to compare or slate any other hosting companies because that is not what I am about. I have had good and bad experiences with various companies. The main bad experiences being slow load times, longer website down times and really, really poor support.
All very frustrating.
Cheap hosting will frustrate you in time as you undoubtedly share servers with god knows how many people. The old adage "you get what you pay for" applies in almost every aspect of website building. Introducing WPX Hosting...
Discovering WPX Hosting last year was one of the best things that has happened to my online business life. My websites had been slowing down, getting more problems than ever and the support I was getting infuriated me.
WPX Hosting has the most simple solution for anyone building a website. Basically, you only get three options or plans for their hosting. Business, Professional or Elite. The main differences are how many websites you can host, the amount of storage space you get and bandwidth.
Other than that, all plans give the same excellent service. Here is a comparison:
5 Website Plan
15 Website Plan
35 Website Plan
COST When Paid Yearly
COST When Paid Monthly
28 Day Backups
24/7/365 Live Chat
30 Day Money Back
Site Migrations (FREE)
PHP 7.X, 5.6, 5.4, 5.3
1-Click WP Installation
Enterprise Level DDOS/Malware Protection
At the moment, I am on the Business Plan paid yearly but I can see me moving up a notch before too long. $19.99 a month for what you get is outstanding but that's not all.
You'll probably want to see some sort of proof that what I am telling you is the truth. WPX are the best hosting company I have found in over a decade. Their products, their support and the owners are all incredible and I keep hearing this from my peers in the online world too.
I had to use support a fair bit in the beginning for:
Every single time I used them I was dealt with within their promised 30 seconds. Here is proof:
Note: I genuinely wanted to ask a question so I recorded this process. Please don't test support until you actually need them!
I can't show you an example or comparison to the speed of my site as it was transferred very quickly*. I didn't get the chance (I forgot) to test my website through GT Metrix or Pingdom prior to the move. When I move my next website over, I will make a comparison then.
*Support were amazing and moved the site over within minutes of me joining.
However, the results I am getting from those test sites now that I am hosted at WPX are impressive. I had tested my website whilst at my old host and the poor results are what started me on my quest to move to a new host.
For the record, I have used hosting from Blue Host, Host Gator, 1 & 1 and GoDaddy in the past. None of them come close to the simplicity, speed and pleasure of using WPX Hosting. I am slowly moving all of my websites to WPX.
Interface and SSLs
The overall interface and navigation around your client area and dashboard is a welcome sight. Unlike other control panels that are fully loaded with a ton of features I never needed, the options at WPX are easy to understand and use and you are not left wanting.
They also give all customers a full SSL for every website you host with them. Pretty much a requirement for all websites these days. For those that want to rank well and appease the Google Gods that is.
Finally, I judge a lot of companies I work with by their ethics. The founder of WPX Hosting, Terry Kyle, is a huge dog lover and it shows. Rather than pose around in a fancy sports car (of which he owns none), Terry and WPX help 350+ homeless dogs every day.
